A quick guide to troubleshooting of printers
Remember to always double check that the printer is on and paper is present
IF THE PRINTER IS CONNECTED VIA USB
- Check the iPad, does it charge connected via USB to the printer?
- Is the USB cable connected to the iPad socket on the back of the printer?
- Under "Printers" in settings, does a printer that starts with USB come up?
If you experience any of the above problems, it may be a problem with the USB cable or a loose socket. Please to try another USB cable if available.
IF THE PRINTER IS CONNECTED VIA LAN
- The green and blue lights must light up constantly,
if they flash in any way, there is a problem with the connection. - First test that wifi works on other devices,
then restart the printer to see if it can connect again. - Remove and add printer in settings
If the printer does not come up as LAN when you search for printers or lights flash on the printer, there is something wrong with the network. Feel free to try restarting your router and printer and double check that the network cable is plugged in correctly.
NO BONGS APPEAR
- Do the buttons on the front of the printer light up?
- Double check that bong printer is added under correct station in settings
- The bong station must not be the primary printer but must always be secondary
